ระหว่างวันที่ 26 พ.ค. – 1 มิ.ย. 2567 อาจารย์วิจัยของพิพิธภัณฑ์ฯ ม.อ. ดร.พิพัฒน์ สร้อยสุข และดร.อับดุลเลาะ ซาเมาะ ได้เข้าร่วมเป็นวิทยากรในการฝึกอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการนานาชาติ ในหัวข้อ “Enhancing Genomic Sequencing Capacity for Tropical Diseases: Improvement of Disease Surveillance with Genomic Sequencing for Prevention of Zoonotic Pathogen Spill-over at Source” ณ ศูนย์วิจัยโรคเขตร้อน มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล วิทยาเขตกาญจนบุรี

การประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการนี้มุ่งเน้นไปที่การเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถการเรียงลำดับจีโนมเชื้อต่าง ๆ ที่พบในสัตว์ป่าเพื่อต่อสู้กับโรคเขตร้อน โดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญชั้นนำมารวมตัวกันเพื่อแบ่งปันความรู้และประสบการณ์เกี่ยวกับเทคนิคการสำรวจภาคสนาม การเก็บตัวอย่าง และการวิเคราะห์ลำดับจีโนม และการประยุกต์ใช้เพื่อการเฝ้าระวังโรคจากสัตว์ โดยบุคลากรของพิพิธภัณฑ์ฯ ได้บรรยายและสาธิตกระบวนการสำรวจภาคสนาม การเก็บตัวอย่างจากค้างคาวและเหาค้างคาวให้กับผู้เข้าร่วมการอบรมครั้งนี้

พิพิธภัณฑ์ฯ มุ่งมั่นยกระดับความเป็นเลิศและขยายเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและการวิจัยเพื่ออนุรักษ์ความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพร่วมกับหน่วยงานทั้งระดับท้องถิ่นไปจนถึงระดับนานาชาติ

Between May 26th and June 1st, 2567, PSU staff, Dr.Pipat Soisook and Dr. Abdulloh Samoh, participated as speakers and demonstration in an international practical training workshop on the topic of “Enhancing Genomic Sequencing Capacity for Tropical Diseases: Improvement of Disease Surveillance with Genomic Sequencing for Prevention of Zoonotic Pathogen Spill-over at Source” at the Tropical Disease Research Center, Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus.

This workshop focused on wnhancing the capacity for sequencing various genomes found in wildlife to combat emerging tropical diseases. Leading experts gathered to share knowledge and experiences regarding field survey techniques, sample collection, genome sequencing analysis, and its application in disease surveillance from animals.

The museum’s staff lectured and demonstrated the field survey process and sample collection from bats and bat flies.

.

The museum aims to elevate excellence in academic and research collaboration networks to conserve biodiversity, from local community to international levels.
