Symposium on the Chaiburi Formation
Stratigraphy, Paleontology, and Geological Correlation
The organizing committee is pleased to invite researchers, academics, and graduate students to participate in the Symposium on the Chaiburi Formation: Stratigraphy, Paleontology, and Geological Correlation, to be held on 7 April 2026 at the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba, Japan.
This one-day symposium aims to provide an international forum for the exchange of recent research results and ideas related to the Chaiburi Formation and associated Triassic successions. Scientific discussions will focus on stratigraphy, sedimentology, paleontology, biostratigraphy, and regional to global geological correlation, particularly within Southeast Asia and the western Tethys region.
The symposium program will include keynote lectures, contributed oral presentations selected from submitted abstracts, and a general discussion and networking session. Researchers working on topics related to the Chaiburi Formation and relevant geological fields are warmly encouraged to participate.
There is no registration fee. However, online registration is required.
